155,000 civil servants have started a strike in Canada

In Canada, 155,000 civil servants working in federal government offices have started a strike. Citing foreign media, SIA reports that the members of the Public Service Association (PSAC), the main organization of public-authorized trade unions in Canada, claim that they could not reach an agreement in the negotiations between the government and the trade union.

The protestors, who said that they will set up more than 250 strike lines across the country, said that the union will continue the strike until the main issues are resolved.

The strike by civil servants will halt 23 different federal government services, notably tax offices and passport processing.
