155 Junior High School Students Disqualified in Bogor due to Fake Population Data

Bogor

Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya revealed that there were 155 prospective junior high school students who registered through the zoning route using fake population data. A total of 155 prospective students will be disqualified.

“Later on the names of applicants whose names are proven not to be found in the field, at the registered domicile, the name will be issued. Once again, the name will be removed from the PPDB registration. Automatically the name underneath will go up,” Bima said in a statement. press conference regarding the online New Student Admissions (PPDB) process for Bogor City, Sunday (9/7/2023).

Bima asked 155 prospective students suspected of using fake data to be asked to find another school. Bima ensured that no other students were wronged.

“Yes, immediately out. The system will lose its name. Please register with the private sector,” said Bima.

“For the first one, we make sure that no one is wronged as much as possible. So don’t let the child look for a location, not for achievement. That’s the point. It’s a hassle for us if year after year he struggles to find a location, not for achievement,” he added.

A total of 155 prospective students are scattered in several superior and favorite junior high schools in Bogor City.

“Most of these are top schools, yes (violations occur). So the more a SMP is perceived as a favorite, the higher the number of alleged violations,” said Bima.

For example, SMPN 1 Bogor those with problems 32 percent, SMPN 2 9 percent, SMPN 3 1 percent, SMPN 4 15 percent, SMPN 5 14 percent. For example, the number of registrants for SMPN 1, 490 (people), the zoning quota is 141, there are 157 indications of problems. That’s a very high number. There are 32 percent of them with problems,” he added.

It was previously known that the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya Sugiarto, revealed that 913 prospective junior high school students who registered through the zoning route indicated that they had problematic population data. Of the hundreds of problematic applicants, it was found that 155 prospective junior high school students were suspected of using fake population data.

“It was reported that there were 913 registrants (prospective junior high school students) who had indications of problems, and currently 763 factual verifications have been carried out in the field, so there are still around 150 more who are still on progress,” said Bima Arya during a press conference at the Bogor City Hall. , Sunday (9/7/2023).

“From that number so far, 414 (junior high school registrants on the zoning route) are suitable and 155 are not suitable. This means that the name in question was not found at the location visited (according to the address),” he continued.

Bima said that the 913 prospective junior high school students with problems were found by a special team formed last Friday. The special team involved the Inspectorate, Disdukcapil, Disdik and Camats in the City Bogor. They are tasked with verifying the population data of prospective junior high school students who register through the zoning route.

“Of course we will continue this until the last day, because the announcement of graduation for junior high school has been postponed until Tuesday. So there are still two days ahead to continue this,” said Bima.
