All the warmth, color and musicality of the Puerto Rican community was present yesterday at the 152nd Street Festival in The Bronx
The event that celebrates Puerto Rican culture and heritage in the city took place between Jackson and Tinton avenues.
The traditional celebration was filled with music, games, typical Puerto Rican food, and other attractions.
The festival is the only official event associated with the Puerto Rican National Day Parade that will take place on Sunday, June 11 through Fifth Avenue, from 44th to 79th streets.
During this celebration, Mayor Eric Adams posted a message on twitter announcing it.
The 152nd Street Cultural Festival is the kick-off celebration leading up to the National Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday, June 11. I am proud to be the Mayor of the city with the largest Puerto Rican population in the world outside of the island itself.
