The commemoration of 151 years since the death of Vasil Levski begins in Loveshko. There will be a march to the “Kakrina Inn” museum and a ritual of laying wreaths and flowers on the monument to the Apostle of Freedom, BTA reports.
Representative blocks of the National Military University “Vasil Levski” – Veliko Tarnovo will participate.
The ritual is scheduled for 11:00. The mayor of Lovech Stracimir Petkov and the regional governor Viktor Stoichev will also participate in it.
At 5:30 p.m., the memorial service for the Apostle is held in the Assumption Church in Lovech. Then there is the civil worship with a military ritual at the monument of Vasil Levski in Lovech.
The next day, the events continue with a tourist hike “In the footsteps of the Apostle” from Lovech to the Kakri Inn, through the “Pazi Most” area, organized by the “Stratesh” tourist association. After that, representatives of regional clubs at the National Society “Tradition” will present a reenactment of the capture of Vasil Levski in the Kakri Inn. There will also be a civil pilgrimage in front of the monument of the Apostle.
