150 years of existence. The Tervillois fire brigade dedicated this Sunday, May 14 to the celebration of this event. It all started with a ceremony in front of the Town Hall forecourt. In addition to the invited population, Olivier Postal, mayor, was accompanied by some members of the municipal council. Also note the presence of Commander Nicolas Kremer of the 1st district of Thionville, the representative of Sdis, the heads of neighboring operational units, Senator Jean-Marie Mizzon, Deputy Laurent Jacobelli and Departmental Councilor Brigitte Schneider.
After the review of the troops by the head of the Terville operational unit, Lieutenant Daniel Teuchert, it was the turn of Commander Nicolas Kremer and the mayor to salute the firefighters.

After raising the colors, a solemn tribute was paid to the men of the Terville barracks with a laying of wreaths first by Commander Nicolas Kremer, Lieutenant Daniel Teuchert and Laurent Teuchert, president of the friendly sapeurs- Tervillois firefighters followed by the mayor, the senator, the deputy and the departmental councilor.

The law of March 21, 1831 imposed the organization of the corps of firefighters into two categories: the municipal firefighters and the national guard. On February 9, 1873, the municipal council of the municipalities of Veymerange, Terville and Elange (150 inhabitants making up the three villages) voted on the need to have a pump and to create a subdivision of firefighters, voting a loan of 1,200 francs for the purchase of the pump. A lieutenant, a sergeant, a corporal and 12 men make up the unit. The first officer will be Lieutenant Mathias Hender.
