On June 1, 2006 the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns faced off in Game 5 of the Capital Conference Finals as the two teams were tied 2-2. At the American Airlines Center, Dirk Nowitzki released that day one of the greatest performances of his career including a monstrous last quarter. With his team leading 82-81 at the start of the last 12 minutes, he planted 22 points in the final quarter, 2 more than the Suns to guide them to victory. He finished the match with 50 points (franchise record in the playoffs) at 14/26 including 5/6 at 3-pts, 12 rebounds and 3 assists in 43’29
