The police have arrested a 15-year-old suspect in the investigation into the suspicious package that was found on Basisweg in West on Monday. The suspect was arrested last night near his home in Noord.
The police speak of an improvised heavy explosive device that was found yesterday morning under a car at a business premises on Basisweg. “The subsequent investigation led to the detection and arrest of a 15-year-old suspect,” police wrote.
According to the police, multiple arrests cannot be ruled out; according to the press release, there are strong indications for which business premises the explosive was intended. The owner of the property has been notified.
