SAN ANTONIO – A 15-year-old boy is in custody after stabbing a man at his home in the 300 block of W Wildwood on Saturday.
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of W Mariposa for a possible mental health-related assault in progress. When police arrived on scene, the suspect fled the scene on foot.
Officers searched the area where the suspect was found in the 300 block of W Wildwood running with a knife in his hand.
The young man did not comply with the officers’ verbal orders, so he was arrested with the deployment of a taser.
While officers were in the process of detaining the suspect, another court call was heard on W Wildwood.
The victim was reportedly in the driveway when the suspect approached and the suspect stabbed the victim once in the chest.
The wounded victim fled into a back room of the premises as the suspect fled the scene, which is when officers observed the suspect running with the knife.
The man was taken to a local hospital with a life-threatening injury.
The suspect was booked for aggravated assault.
