15-Year-Old Girl and Young Man Killed in Tragic New York Car Accident: Investigation Underway

The 15-year-old girl and another young man named Gilvante Robson died early Sunday morning when the car they were traveling in collided with a truck after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Surveillance footage shows the Chrysler slamming heavily into the front of the truck after losing control while traveling on empty streets.

The young people were allegedly participating in a clandestine event where stunts and donuts were performed in cars.

Through an account where they requested support for the funeral, Sabrina’s relatives remembered her as a cheerful young woman.

“Sabrina Villagomez, a loving and attentive daughter, sister and friend… was an incredible soul who spread love and happiness wherever she went,” said Katherine González.

“She will always be remembered for her good sense of humor and her infectious smile. “We are all devastated by her tragic loss,” she added in the post requesting funds to help carry out her funeral.

“Gilvante was the heart of the family”

The second victim of the tragic accident was Gilvante Roberson, 21 years old.

“Gio,” as her classmates called her, was known in the circuit of young people who dedicated themselves to performing these stunts in the streets.

His mother, Sabrina commented that Gio was the eldest of her children and the soul of her family.

“Gilvante was the heart and soul of our family and was the father figure of his two sisters Zaynah and Somani,” he indicated on a page where he requested support for his funeral.

“My son had a great passion for cars, videos and music. “He was a pillar in the New York car community and loved by many,” he added.

The incident is under investigation.

A video from a security camera shows the moment of impact of the vehicle whose driver and another 17-year-old woman, Aaliyah Torres, were injured. They both attended Ramapo High School.

“This news is devastating for our entire East Ramapo school community and our hearts go out to the families and friends of these two students,” he said in a statement. statement Clarence Ellis, superintendent of schools for the East Ramapo Central School District.

The white Chrysler 300 collided squarely with the tanker truck.

“We can see on the ground what kind of blow it was, it was very strong, maybe he lacked a little more control,” commented a driver who was at the scene of the accident.

That same vehicle has been captured by users in other videos where it performs ‘donuts’ and other types of stunts. “The message is very clear: We are not going to tolerate that,” said NYPD Deputy Commissioner Kaz Daughtry, after a weekend of several cases of racing and stunts.

New York Police go after cars that perform stunts

On Monday, the New York police reported that they will form a special group to combat these types of stunts that are carried out on the city’s streets.

They even reported that with the use of drones and officers, they have managed to dismantle some of these meetings.

“There is a clear message to those who engage in this type of criminal behavior: If you drive recklessly on our city roads, endanger the lives of innocent pedestrians and motorists, you will be arrested,” Daughtry posted.
