15-year-old boy suspected of raping girls of 12

A 15-year-old boy is suspected of raping two 12-year-old girls and a 17-year-old girl on the street. The cases took place in Mem Martins, in the municipality of Sintra. The teenager has already been arrested.

Taking advantage of “a moment of distraction”, the teenager eventually managed to escape to the home of family members, who “immediately reported what happened” to the authorities.

With the description of the alleged violator in his possession, the PSP then located and approached the young man. In his sphere, “a bladed weapon with a 19 cm blade” was found.

The investigation later made it possible to ascertain that it will have links to two other breaches in Mem Martins. According to what JN found, in one case the victim was another 12-year-old girl and, in the other, a 17-year-old girl, who were also approached with violence on the street.

This Thursday, the suspect preventively took to an educational center, as determined by the Criminal Instruction Court of Sintra.
