A 15-year-old student has been arrested after the shooting. A name of the possible perpetrator is circulating on social media, but it has not been confirmed by the authorities.
The semi-automatic pistol with which the boy shot around him has been seized. The shooter’s motive is unknown. Schoolmates say in American media that the boy was bullied a lot.
He allegedly acted alone and was arrested without resistance after firing 15 to 20 shots. the police said.
The gun had been purchased by the gunman’s father four days earlier, according to police. Before the shooting, the gunman posted photos of the gun on social media, local police said.
The gunman did not tell police and invoked his right to a lawyer after his parents advised him not to speak.
