The incident happened late on Wednesday evening

A 15-year-old boy drove a car and hit an elderly man in the Borovan village of Vratsa. The incident took place at 11:25 p.m. on Wednesday evening, the Ministry of the Interior reports.

The 73-year-old man who was hit by the underage driver was crossing the crosswalk at the time of the crash. He was admitted for treatment at Hristo Botev Hospital in Vratsa.

The boy tested negative for alcohol. The case is being investigated.
