Swedish police suspect that the 15-year-old boy who was found dead in a wooded area outside Stockholm on Saturday evening was killed.
– We have reason to suspect that a crime has been committed, and therefore a murder investigation has been launched, says press spokesman for the police in Stockholm, Mats Eriksson.
The dead boy was found by a passer-by in a wooded area in Nynäshamn municipality south of the Swedish capital at 8.30pm on Saturday evening. according to The evening paper had the 15-year-old been stabbed, but it is suspected that he was killed elsewhere and later moved.
The newspaper further writes that the murder is probably gang-related, but this has not been confirmed by the police.
– We have interviewed family and close friends and people who live at, or were in the vicinity of, the place where he was found dead, says Eriksson about the murder investigation.
The police are working to map what the deceased did in the hours before he died. So far, no one has been arrested in the case.
