Go4Speed.lv in cooperation with LMT Smart Television offers the latest series of the speed and adventure show Ātruma Cilts. This time the protagonist of the story is 15-year-old drift child Nicholas Bertan or Nik Nak, who will challenge Paul Timrot to drift in tandem on a narrow track set up in the old factory premises.

Nikolass Bertāns has already surpassed the best drifters in Latvia and the Baltics at the age of only 15, and this season he has proved his talent and won the sympathy of motorsport fans in Oman. Therefore, he has no problems drifting on the track, which is located in an old factory building, with dangerous poles and tire bends.

To make sure it can handle other motorists, Paul Timrot has taken on the challenge of Nicholas and is testing his skills on perhaps one of the narrowest drift tracks. Viewers will have the opportunity to learn the slip tricks together with Paul and learn the master’s tips on what to do in moments when the speed becomes crazy scary.

Why never look back, drifting in tandem, and whether Bertan plans to conquer the US drift pedestals, following in the footsteps of Kristaps Blush, can be found out in the new show series.

In the show, the athlete revealed that he will start drifting in Oman again in the winter. “We have already sent our drifting car to Oman, where we plan to start the competition there at the beginning of next year. Already this year, at the beginning of the year, I tried my hand at this competition, where I managed to prove myself well. I gained valuable experience there, which later allowed me to show good results here in the Baltics this season, ” reveals Nicholas Bertan.

It is known that the competition will last from January to February, where three stages will be held together. The rider who scores the most points by adding the results of the qualification and tandem will become the champion.

Nicholas revealed that after a great performance this year, he has received a new invitation from the competition organizers. ” Of course, we would definitely not go to this competition at our own expense, because it requires a lot of money. However, in order to raise the level of their championship and provide spectators with an excellent show, the organizers of the competition attract riders at their own expense. The organizers of the race call us for road, accommodation, transport, etc. We just have to provide tires, fuel and a ready machine. ”

Asked about the level of competition and goals in the upcoming race, the athlete admitted to the portal Go4speed that “The best drift riders from all over the world are invited to this competition, so the level is high. Stars such as Daigo Saito from Japan, James Dean from Ireland, etc. start there, as well as local stars whose cars are no less competitive. When I went there this year, there was really a lot to know, but next year, when I arrive in Oman, I will feel at home. Those people and the atmosphere are unique. Of course, when I start, I’m always ready to fight any opponent and show close tandem races to fight for victory in every tandem, every race and also in the overall standings. “

The new car

Although the athlete recently purchased new car can, Bertāns will go to the race in Oman with his old car, but the new car will be prepared for the new season.

Asked about the season’s plans, the young and talented drifter admitted that there are three options where you could try to start – in Europe, Russia or go to America. –
