The RN brought the case to the Libourne court, which won its case
“It’s a non-event”, in the opinion of Alain Renard, the mayor of Saint-Savin, municipality of Haute Gironde. The Libourne judicial court, after the hearing on June 11, ruled that 15 people were illegally registered on the electoral roll and that they should be struck off. Among these people, three are children of the mayor.
The municipal councilors of the National Rally, seized the judicial court of Libourne, after the electoral list control commission, organized on May 29, in anticipation of the next elections. Edwige Diaz and Frédérique Joint had argued that 18 people on the lists no longer had a legitimate reason to vote in Saint-Savin.
The mayor recognizes that the approach was founded, for part of the list: “Of these 18, one was already canceled, one of them was under 26 years old and another still pays a housing tax here. For the others, we were going to do the necessary “grooming” after the elections in June.

The electoral code provides that in order to vote in a municipality, there must be an attachment, by virtue of his main domicile, his status as a taxpayer or his status as a company manager. These fifteen voters will not be able to vote for the next polls, the deadline has passed to register in another municipality.
