The Premier League Hall of Fame was launched in April 2021 to honor the greatest players to have graced the league since its inception in 1992. The list of candidates to be inducted in the inaugural class has been whittled down to just 15 names, and it includes some of the most iconic names in English football history. The Premier League Hall of Fame has shortlisted 15 former Premier League players including Gary Neville and Yaya Toure. The Hall of Fame was created in order to recognise exceptional individuals who have made significant contributions to the Premier League since its inception in 1992. Some of the 16 previous inductees include David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane and Alan Shearer. Additionally, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have become the first managers to be honoured by the Premier League Hall of Fame. Sir Alex has won the Premier League 13 times while Wenger won the title three times during his 22-year tenure at Arsenal.

The three new inductees into the Premier League Hall of Fame will be chosen by fans around the world, who can place their votes until Monday 10 April. Each inductee will receive a personalised medallion engraved with the year of their induction and the Premier League will donate £10,000 to a charity chosen by the chosen recipients. Among the shortlisted players are Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler, both known for their contributions at Liverpool. Fans around the world will have to wait until Wednesday 3 May to find out which three players have been selected.
