Spanish Real Madrid added its fifth title and fifteenth to Europe in the Club World Cup, when it defeated Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in the final of the 19th edition, on Saturday.
European and South American clubs continued to dominate the title, as they did not lose in the final in 19 editions of the tournament.
European clubs won the title on 15 occasions, including the last 10 copies, while South American victories came only from Brazilian clubs.
The following is the record of the winners of the Club World Cup, following the final of the 2022 edition hosted by Morocco:

• 2016: Real Madrid beat Japan’s Kashima Antlers 4-2 after extension.
