To save on fuel, Daniela bought a small and economical car two years ago.
“To fill up my tank, they go to 110 BGN, which is enough for me for the month, because my car is economical. But for bigger cars it is very expensive”, she told Nova TV.
According to her, her car in urban conditions spends significantly less than most cars. However, this does not save her from the monthly search for the gas station with the lowest price.
For the last 2 months, the average price of crude oil – a key component in the production of gasoline and diesel – has fallen by nearly 20 dollars per barrel. For the same period, the price of the column has dropped by 15 cents. According to experts, prices will drop further by the holidays.
“For the holidays, we will see prices in the range of 2.40 to 2.60 max per column for light fuels,” says Dimitar Hadjidimitrov, owner of a chain of gas stations.
According to him, in the case of a sharp drop in the price of crude oil, it takes time for this to affect the column, because the quantities bought at a higher price must be exhausted first.
According to energy expert Martin Vladimirov, the price at which the Burgas refinery sells fuel to gas stations is inflated, considering the lower prices of Russian oil, which Bulgaria still has the right to use.
“The price of crude oil is low, but the final prices are not, as if the company used normal oil at an average European price.
Currently, Russian oil is on average 12 dollars cheaper than European oil.
