14th Sehpferdchen Film Festival offers a full program in three cinemas

A feast for the generations from June 26th to July 6th / Presale starts now

REGION (red). Stand your ground, free yourself and grow: That is the motto of the film festival “Sehpferdchen”, which is being held in the cinema for the 14th time this year. From June 26th to July 6th there is a program in three cinemas: The cinema in the Künstlerhaus and the cinema on the Raschplatz in Hanover as well as the Neue Schauburg in Burgdorf present a total of over 20 international films for children, young people and adults. There are also media education projects and workshops for school classes and groups. Tickets are available now through the website www.filmfest-sehpferdchen.de be reserved. “The film festival is a very special invitation to the cinema, which after many months of restrictions is finally becoming a wonderful place for shared experiences again,” says Region President Steffen Krach happily, and emphasizes: “The children’s and youth film is a yardstick and an expression of positions and feelings that are evident in society as a whole – and the Sehpferdchen program takes this up in many facets: with humour, with compassion and with excitement. I’m sure there’s something for everyone.” There’s a lot to see: “Me, gorilla and the monkeys” makes a strange adoption a powerhouse against corruption and for a child-friendly living environment – endearingly drawn for a young audience from 6 years of age. “Sihja, the rebellious fairy” rages against the poisoning of the environment with Alfred, who is still shy at first. Brave and playful, sisters Vega and Billie brave the Nordic nature and free their father in “Tottori – headlong into adventure”. The other international film discoveries are also multifaceted with astronomy, Bollywood, hot air balloons, stand-up comedy, tunnel digging, circus, rebellion or tenderness.
