The fourteenth pension seemed to be a one-time payment. It was paid out in 2021 and – according to the announcements of the rulers – was not to be continued. However, it happened otherwise. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that this year money was also planned in the budget for the payment of the fourteenth pension. The additional benefit is to be granted to seniors in summer or autumn.
However, not everyone will be able to count on the payment of “fourteen”. Unlike the thirteenth pension, there is a certain income criterion here. In the case of higher pensions, the “PLN for PLN” rule will be applied. In 2021, if the gross amount was exceeded PLN 2,900, the fourteenth pension was lower. T.now we are waiting for the final decision in 2022but it can be expected that the situation will be similar.
