According to the Hamburg social authority, 146 new corona cases were registered on Sunday. That is 65 less than a week ago and 232 less than on Saturday.
On Sundays and Mondays, the number of cases is usually lower than on other days of the week. On the one hand, fewer tests are carried out on weekends, and on the other hand, not all data is transmitted by the health authorities.
Incidence value drops to 115.1
The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days has fallen to 115.1, according to the information. According to the social authority, a total of 42,879 people in Hamburg have tested positive for the corona virus since the pandemic began. According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), around 34,000 of these can now be regarded as recovered.
RKI: Nine more deaths
According to the RKI, the total number of deaths in Hamburg in connection with a SARS-Cov2 infection is 904. That is nine more than the day before. 523 corona patients are currently being treated in Hamburg’s hospitals, 92 of them are under intensive care. The numbers from the clinics are from Friday, they are not updated on weekends.
