JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Around 1,400 PT Bank employees KB Bukopin Tbk chose to resign. Resignation is done voluntarily by employees.
The Corporate Secretary of Bank KB Bukopin, Tias Hardi, explained that the resignation of the 1,400 employees was part of the company’s transformation after it was acquired by Kookmin Bank in 2020.
“This program is offered to all employees, and is voluntary in nature. There is no coercion, no appointment,” he said, to Kompas.com, Friday (21/1/2022).
Tias ensured that the resignation was carried out without any appointment or coercion from the company. He said the company offers the program to employees, with a number of benefits.
First, the company provides severance pay to employees who choose to resign.
“In terms of benefits, it is certain that when talking about nominal, it is above the usual severance pay,” said Tias.

Then, Tias said, the individual and family insurance of employees participating in the program will still be covered, up to 6 months after the resignation is submitted.
In addition, to support career sustainability, Bank KB Bukopin also provides training to employees who participate in the voluntary resignation program.
“Many employees, especially in this modern era, maybe many employees have thought about becoming entrepreneurs, businessmen, entrepreneurs, or maybe there are those who have the principle of wanting to move industries, not in banks anymore,” said Tias.
With the reduction of 1,400 employees, Tias said, currently the number of employees at Bank KB Bukopin is around 4,800 employees.
“If you want to look in the mirror, the banks that transformed first, have already done this (reduction of voluntary employees),” said Tias.
