A 14-year-old boy from Uden in Brabant reported to the police last week for the fire at De Schans ski slope in his hometown. According to police, the boy reported himself with a parent and was questioned. He is suspected of arson.
The fire at the ski and snowboard club broke out around 4:30 pm two weeks ago. During the fire, plastic mats, artificial grass and foil went up in flames. In addition, the center and right lane were severely damaged. The club was not in use at the time of the fire.
The damage was estimated by the association at more than 200,000 euros. The ski slope has therefore set up an action, reports Broadcasting Brabant. The money collected in this way is used by the club to repair the damage.
