14 year old died in Piacenza crushed by a bus outside school

A 14-year-old girl died in the afternoon in Piacenza, crushed by a bus outside school: the dynamics are not yet clear, it is not excluded that the teenager, who attended a high school, was trying to run to the vehicle which however he was leaving again, and had just closed the doors, after picking up other students. The young woman died instantly.

She lost her life after “for reasons under investigation, she slipped under the right rear part of the vehicle, being crushed by the twin wheels”. Thus, in a note the Seta public transport company takes stock of the death of a 14-year-old girl, struck around 2.30 pm by «a bus in service on the CS line of Piacenza which connects the school center in Strada Agazzana with the city ​​bus station”. In detail, explains the company, «the episode occurred at the moment in which the bus, immediately after having loaded the students at the stop located near the Raineri Marcora institute, was in the process of restarting and was heading towards the road Agazzana. The vehicle involved in the accident is owned by a company external to Seta – it is highlighted – which was entrusted with the CS line service. The driver is also an employee of the same external company.”
At the moment, continues Seta, «the dynamics of the accident are being examined by the local police of Piacenza, who carried out the legal investigations. There was another vehicle in the area, owned by Seta, on which there is a video surveillance system, the images of which will be made available to the officers for any further investigation”.
The 118 service intervened on site with an ambulance and a medical vehicle and the intervention of the air ambulance was requested.
Seta’s corporate management sends condolences to the victim’s family and their closeness to the bus driver.

The 14-year-old girl crushed and killed by a bus in the afternoon in Piacenza is the third victim of 2024 in a similar scenario, according to data collected by Asaps. The previous ones occurred in Cagliari and Perugia.
