A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed while walking with a friend on the streets of the Bronx in what appears to be a planned attack.
The teenager and his friend were walking past 2249 Morris Avenue in Fordham Heights when they were ambushed by two gunmen who appeared from behind a car at about 9:15 pm yesterday, according to reports of the police.
Police said the men opened fire on the two, fatally wounding the 14-year-old in the torso.
The two men who shot were dressed in black, including hoodies and masks, according to police sources. One of the suspects was wearing a backpack.
The injured man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim’s friend was not injured.
Investigators recovered five shell casings from the scene.
Police are still looking for the two attackers.
