TRIBUN-BALI.COM, DENPASAR – The declaration of an AIDS-free Indonesia in 2030 with the Three Zero Program is still being intensified.
This was also carried out in Denpasar by involving all parties and components of society.
Even now, in the city of Denpasar itself, out of 27 villages, 14 villages have allocated village funds for handling HIV/AIDS.
The amount also varies from Rp. 1.4 million to the highest Rp. 43.8 million, with a total for the 14 villages of Rp. 220,197,457.

This was revealed by the Secretary of the Denpasar City AIDS Commission (KPA), Tri Indarti in a media gathering with the AIDS Care Forum (FPA), Saturday 10 June 2023.
Tri Indarti said that the authority of the village related to HIV/AIDS was contained in Denpasar Mayor Regulation Number 25 of 2019.
“His powers include monitoring and preventing abuse of narcotics and addictive substances in the village, simple counseling about communicable and non-communicable diseases, organizing and strengthening community groups concerned with AIDS,” said Tri Indarti.
Meanwhile, HIV/AIDS cases recorded in Bali from 1987 to March 2023 totaled 28,529 cases.
Meanwhile, Denpasar City recorded 14,947 cases in the same period.
The details are HIV as many as 8,531 cases and AIDS as many as 6,416 cases.
Meanwhile, in terms of gender, 9,482 were male and 5,465 cases were female.
And for HIV/AIDS cases, cumulatively died from 1987 to 2022 as many as 255 AIDS cases.
Generally, those who died had a history of tuberculosis or TB.
In terms of age, those infected with HIV/AIDS are dominated by productive age from 20 to 39 years old with a total of 10,679 thousand cases.
