On May 14 at 12.00 in Ādaži Culture Center there will be a new musical performance for children “Rūķu Riču Raču”. The musical will feature songs by Arvīds Žilinskas, Elga Īgenberga, Jānis Lūsēns and other Latvian composers. The role of dwarfs will be played by popular artists in Latvia: singer Zigfrīds Muktupāvels, singer Anta Eņģele, jazz and contemporary music singer Beāte Zviedre, as well as pianist Raimonds Petrauskis and saxophonist Oskars Petrauskis.

The main characters of “Rūķu Riču Raču” are a family of dwarfs – a daddy’s dad, a mother, a dwarf’s sister and two brothers. There, far, far away, behind thirty-nine forests, at the foot of a large mountain, their life, like that of other dwarfs in antiquity, goes simple, but nice and happy. Everyone has to do their job every day, learn diligently in an hour of dwarf history, and only then can we shorten the evenings with the dwarf family’s favorite game “Riču Raču”. But then suddenly the life of the dwarfs changes beyond recognition. Dwarves will need a lot of endurance, strength and wisdom to recover what was stolen in the black of the night. But the dwarves still believe that they will still play “Riču Raču” …
