The 14th pension, also known as the “fourteen”, is an additional payment for old age pensioners. It will be paid once. As announced by ZUS, the 14th pension is to be paid to approximately 9.1 million old-age and disability pensioners, while this benefit in the full amount (i.e. PLN 1022 net) will be granted to approximately 7.9 million eligible persons.

- Fourteen will be given to those pensioners who, as of October 31, 2021, will be entitled to one of the long-term benefits listed in the Act, i.e. retirement pension, disability pension, social pension or pre-retirement benefit.
- 14. pensions will not be granted to persons whose entitlement to these benefits will be suspended. Importantly, people with the highest pensions are not entitled to the additional benefit

The full amount of the 14th retirement pension will be granted to those whose basic benefit does not exceed PLN 2,900 gross, including those who receive pensions below the minimum amount due to their low work experience. Their fourteen will amount to 1022.50 net. The lowest supplement will be paid to people whose pension amounts to PLN 4,100 gross. These pensioners are entitled to fourteen in the amount of PLN 50.25 net.

It was noted that the higher the pension, the more the fourteen would be reduced on the “PLN for PLN” basis. The fourteenth pension is to be paid on a similar basis as in 2021. All pensioners who are entitled to the payment of the “fourteen” can expect its payment to their accounts as early as October this year.
