14 Arizona counties are under excessive heat warning, we explain where you can go relief centers | Univision Phoenix KTVW

Given the heat wave that is hitting Arizona, authorities offer a series of alternatives for the most vulnerable. We explain where and when you can go to these places to look for hydration.

Red Cross opens relief centers

The following heat relief stations will “go live” from 11am to 5pm every day through June 18 and any day the National Weather Service issues an Excessive Heat Advisory during the year, indicates the Salvation Army organization.

Cooling Centers
Peoria Community Center: 8335 W. Jefferson St.

  • Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Saturday from 8 AM to 1PM

Peoria Main Library: 8463 W. Monroe St.

  • Monday to Thursday from 10 AM to 7 PM
  • Friday and Saturday from 12PM to 5 PM

Biblioteca de Sunrise Mountain: 21109 N. 98th Ave

  • Monday to Thursday from 10 AM to 7 PM
  • Friday and Saturday from 12PM to 5 PM

Rio Vista Recreation Center: 8866 W. Thunderbird Rd.

  • Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Saturday from 8 AM to 4PM

Hydration station:
Peoria City Hall: 8401 W. Monroe St.

  • Monday to Thursday from 7AM to 6 PM

Edificio Peoria Development & Community Services: 9875 N. 85th Ave.

  • Monday to Thursday from 7AM to 6 PM
