13th supplier conference and presentation of the strategy for 2024 at Gotion High-tech

Hefei, China (ots/PRNewswire) On December 23, 2023, Gotion High-tech successfully held the 13th supplier conference and presentation of the strategy for 2024 in Hefei. Gotion High-tech used the occasion as a platform to present its four quality, globalization, R&D and supply chain strategies for 2024, recognize its outstanding suppliers for 2023 and sign contracts with selected strategic suppliers for 2024.

In terms of quality, Gotion plans to strengthen our control over process performance, align our overarching quality indicators with industry standards, address key vulnerabilities, and prioritize increasing the quality of electrical components. In terms of R&D, Gotion will comprehensively improve the performance of our second-generation cells in mass production, achieve full industrialization of our third-generation cells, and determine the design of fourth-generation cells tailored for the future supercharging system market. In globalization, Gotion’s focus for 2024 is to achieve breakthroughs in three key overseas markets: the Americas, Europe and Africa, and Asia Pacific. Gotion aims to deliver over 100 GWh to overseas markets in 2027, with overseas sales expected to exceed RMB 100 billion and a market share of 10%. The company is engaged in positioning itself as a provider of comprehensive service solutions within the new energy sector. In terms of supply chain, Gotion is committed to building a green and sustainable supply chain that meets social responsibility and environmental protection requirements. This includes supporting suppliers’ CO2 management by carrying out CO2 emissions studies and gradually reducing CO2 emissions.

Since 2023, Gotion has particularly pushed forward its globalization efforts. Examples of this are Gotion’s batteries, which roll off the assembly line at the Göttingen site in Germany and the joint venture factory in Thailand. There has been initial progress towards investing in a battery factory in the US. In addition, Gotion has entered into a collaboration agreement with Pacific Green Technologies (PGT) for the supply of 450 MWh of energy storage system products for Phase II of PGT’s Sheaf battery energy storage project at Richborough Energy Park, Kent, United Kingdom. This is currently the largest battery energy storage project in the UK. Gotion GmbH has also signed a letter of intent with Pod Point, one of the largest providers of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the UK. This initiative aims to facilitate cooperation in technological R&D and battery manufacturing so that competitive home energy storage systems can be developed for customers.
