NAYPYIDAW, KOMPAS.com – Experts say they are worried that Myanmar will fall deep civil war the biggest if the junta not the military does not stop its action.
The statement came after the UN noted that a total of 138 demonstrators had been killed since the coup began on February 1.
The death toll includes 39 people killed on Sunday, the bloodiest day since Myanmar’s military took power by force.

Dr Sasa, the disbanded special envoy of the democratic parliament for the United Nations, said he highlighted that the world did not act immediately.
If bloodshed continues, he predicts the people will have no choice but to arm themselves.
Because of that, he appealed to military junta to step down, release political prisoners, and return Myanmar to democracy.
Dr Sasa stated that the junta could have the same fate as any world leader Saddam Hussein (Iraq) as well Muammar Gaddafi (Libya).
“They could end up being caught or killed,” explained Dr Sasa as reported Sky News Monday (15/3/2021).
Colonel Gaddafi was caught and then killed in October 2011. Meanwhile Saddam was hanged in December 2006.

Dr Sasa explained that India, China, the US and countries in Southeast Asia must act more actively to suppress the junta.
“If this international coalition does not form, I am afraid, we will witness the greatest civil war,” he explained.
He calls now for insistence through rhetoric. What Myanmar needs is active action from the world.
What Dr Sasa means is stronger pressure through coordinated sanctions, diplomatically, politically and economically.
The Tatmadaw, the name of the Myanmar junta, staged a coup on October 1 after claiming fraud in the November 2020 elections.
Since the coup occurred, demonstrators have actually tried to carry out peaceful actions. However, they have now lost hope of being helped by the world.

In Dr Sasa’s view, the protesters were fed up because they were being shot at and many of their comrades were killed.
“So I think it makes sense that if we let this situation continue, the citizens will arm themselves,” he explained.
In addition to the 138 demonstrators killed according to UN records, 2,156 were detained and tried according to Burma’s AAPP group.
The families of the arrested demonstrators revealed that they could not contact the victim and did not know his current condition.
Since independence from Britain in 1948, Myanmar’s military has been the strongest institution in the country.

Recently, Amnesty International’s report found that the Tatmadaw armed its personnel with special weapons of war.
These include submachine guns, sniper rifles, MA-1 semi-automatic rifles, BA-93 and BA-94 submachine guns.
Dr Sasa believes that if civil war really breaks out, many soldiers will defect and defend the protesters.
He explained that the soldiers had been humiliated because they were ordered to kill the demonstrators.
“Most of the police and soldiers will join because it is better for them to be with us than the killers,” he said.
