JAKARTA, JAMBIEKSPRES.CO.ID- The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will issue a new policy regarding the distribution of subsidized fuel (Pertalite and diesel) in 2023.
Especially purchase restrictions for certain vehicles.
Because so far, even though it is forbidden to use pertalite, many cars or motorbikes should use non-subsidized fuel, but the facts on the ground are still using subsidized fuel, especially pertalite and diesel.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif said, there must be criteria for vehicles that are eligible and can consume Special Assignment Fuel (JBKP), namely Pertalite with RON 90.
“Restrictions, now, able to, returned to ESDM and now we are going to discuss it. This, right, there is already a proposal, it was just this morning on my desk, we want to discuss it, next week (this week),” explained Arifin as quoted from Disway.id Monday (9/01).
He explained, there would be several proposals for the criteria for any type of vehicle that has the right to consume Pertalite, it must be according to the classification.
Regarding the policy plan to limit Pertalite purchases for certain vehicles, a ban will be applied to types or types of luxury cars over 1,400 cc. (following the data of 137 vehicles that cannot be filled with Pertalite fuel) click here
As for two-wheeled vehicles, motorbikes over 250 cc will be prohibited from buying Pertalite fuel.
As is known, Pertaliite BBM is the most widely used by the community. You could say BBM Pertalite aka BBM for a million people.
As an illustration, for 2023 the subsidized fuel quota is quite large.
The Pertalite fuel quota is 32.56 million kilo liters (KL). Meanwhile, diesel oil is 17 million KL.
Automatically, with such a large number, more supervision is needed from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).
