Dubai : The Dubai Municipality announced the opening of 1303 new restaurants in Dubai last year. More than three food outlets were opened in a single day. As of the end of 2020, there were a total of 19,259 restaurants in Dubai, according to Sultan Al Tahir, director of the Dubai Municipality’s food inspection division. He added that by October this year, it will reach 20,000. Food security is a top priority of the municipality. Increasing the number of restaurants will increase investment opportunities in Dubai. International food outlets are keen to open their branches in Dubai. When the Kovid pandemic struck, Dubai took all defensive precautions and remained safe. The Government of Dubai has provided support to various sectors through economic stimulus packages to ensure business continuity and sustainability. He added that Dubai is home to the world’s diverse cuisine.
