SHARJAH, 15th March, 2020 (WAM) — His Excellency Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, revealed, coinciding with the celebration of Emirati Children’s Day, that the club has attracted 1,300 athletes from childhood who practice its sports and participate in tournaments in which the club participates locally and internationally.
Al Owais stressed the club’s keenness to support children in general and the Emirati child in particular, athletically, morally, culturally and socially, and to develop their personal skills such as leadership, decision-making ability, enhancing self-confidence, and promoting making exercise a way of life for them, in conjunction with keenness to follow up on the results of their academic achievement. Therefore, the club attracted distinguished trainers and administrators. And they realize the importance of practicing sports at an early age to make future champions.
And he continued: “The club’s children, who are at an early age, have succeeded in winning major championships, including winning four first-place shields in the Jiujitsu Challenge Championship, cups for the first three places in Taekwondo and Karate, and advanced positions in judo … stressing that the club’s plans focus on strengthening child support on a regular and continuous basis.” in various aspects of life and personality.
