Liputan6.com, Los Angeles – A teenager in the United States (US) managed to beat the computer system of the Tetris game, which previously could only be done by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Willis Gibson (13), a gamer with a YouTube channel called “Blue Scuti”, became the first human to reach the level “kill screen” dari game puzzle verses Nintendo.
“Oh my God!” he shouted repeatedly in the video he uploaded on his YouTube channel, as quoted CNAThursday (4/1/2024).
“I can’t feel my fingers,” he added.
Gibson’s success underscores the achievements of a community that actively holds Tetris game tournaments, both online and face to face.
“This has never been done by humans before,” World Tetris Classic Championship president Vince Clemente said, according to The New York Times.
“This is basically something that everyone thought was impossible until a few years ago,” Clemente continued.
Tetris is a simple game, which is also very addictive, in which players have to rotate and manipulate falling blocks of various shapes so that they fit together and create solid lines in a grid.
Once a line (or two, three or four) is formed, it disappears, leaving more space – and time – to organize the next blocks.
Meanwhile, at certain levels, the blocks will fall more quickly.
