The additional benefit will go to a total of approx. 9.7 million old age and disability pensioners – indicates the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, in a statement sent to the Polish Press Agency.

Thirteenth retirement. Who is entitled to?

The Ministry emphasizes that the thirteenth pension is free from deductions and enforcement, and its collection does not affect the application for benefits, allowances, allowances or additional support. Moreover, no personal tax is charged on the benefit. You do not need to submit any additional applications to receive the 13th prize.

The additional benefit is due to persons who, on March 31 of the year in which the additional annual cash benefit is paid, are entitled to benefits specified in the Act.

This solution was applied to old-age and disability pensions in the general system, farmers, uniformed services, bridging pensions, pre-retirement benefits and allowances, social pensions, structural pensions, teacher compensation benefits, parental supplementary benefits and war and military invalids pensions.

According to the ministry’s estimates, in 2019-2022, a total of PLN 47.8 billion will be allocated to retirees and pensioners from the thirteenth pension.
