Jakarta

The case of patients recovering from Corona today increased by 789 people, bringing the total number of cases recovered from COVID-19 in RI to reach 25,595.

“If we reassemble today the cases of recovery have risen by 789, bringing the total to 25,595 people,” said a government spokesman related to handling COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto, in a live broadcast on BNPB’s YouTube account on Wednesday (1/7/2020).

Yuri said the addition of patients recovered in a number of areas is quite significant. In some of these areas, the number of patients healed was more than in new cases.

“There are 16 provinces that report under 10 new cases, and 5 provinces without new cases. While the cured cases are quite significant, Bali, for example from 34 new cases reported today, 62 people were declared cured, Banten 10 new cases 21 recovered, East Kalimantan 7 new cases with 15 recovered, Maluku 7 new cases with 18 recovered, “said Yuri.

“West Papua 3 new cases with 12 recovered. Then we see Jambi without any new cases with 8 recovered, Central Sulawesi without new cases 4 recovered, North Kalimantan without new cases 2 recovered, Gorontalo without new cases 3 recovered,” he added.

Yuri said the national cure rate was 43.2 percent, which means it was still lower than the global figure of 54.23 percent. However, in detail, there are 18 provinces whose recovery rates are above the world average.

“But if we examine further in each province, in fact there are 18 provinces that have a percentage of recovery above the world average, above 54.23 percent. Even 13 provinces have a recovery percentage above 70 percent,” he said.

The 13 provinces are:
1. West Sumatra 81.1% recovered,
2. Riau 73.5% healed,
3. Bengkulu 71.2% recovered,
4. 79.3% loss,
5. Bangka Belitung is 86.8% cured,
6. 81.6% of Riau Islands recovered,
7. Yogyakarta 85.5% cured,
8. West Kalimantan is 81.9% cured,
9. East Kalimantan 73.3% recovered,
10. North Kalimantan 75.5% healed,
11. Central Sulawesi 82.3% recovered,
12. Gorontalo 80.2% recover, and
13. West Sulawesi 72.8% recovered.

Yuri said that currently the hospital occupancy rate was 55.59% of the capacity used. There are 21 provinces where occupancy rates are below 55.59%.

Meanwhile, the national mortality rate is 5.09% of positive confirmation cases. Yuri said that number was still below the average global data which reached 5.28%.

“There are 23 provinces whose death rate is below 5.28 percent, meaning that it is below the global average,” he said.
