The US-American network Facebook has opened its 13th and for the time being the last community center in Turkey under the name “Station” in Antalya. For this purpose, a protocol between Facebook and the resident in Antalya Self-organizations ATSO, ANSIAD and the Habitat Association signed. As a community center, Facebook’s Antalya Station is one of the company’s largest investments in Turkey.
The signing ceremony for the minutes, held both physically and online, was attended by Ece Basay, Public Policy Program Manager at Facebook Turkey, Sezai Hazir, Chair of Habitat Association, Davut Cetin, President of Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO) and Akin Akinci, Chairman of the Association of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Antalya (ANSIAD).

Antalya Station was launched as the last of the community centers after Samsun, Denizli, Kırklareli, Adana, Mersin, Van, Trabzon, Bursa, Ankara, Izmir and Çanakkale. Facebook Station will host a series of training courses, programs and workshops designed to bring people, communities and businesses in Turkey together and promote the digitization of the country’s economy.
Preparation for the whole country
Azzam Alameddin, director of public affairs at Facebook in the Middle East and Turkey, said at the opening of the center in Antalya that living in pandemic conditions had once again shown that it was of great importance to the country’s economy. that individuals, companies and communities develop digitally.
The Facebook station, which opened in Istanbul in September 2019 as the first community center in Turkey, was one of Facebook’s largest investments in this regard, Alameddin said. “With the center in Antalya, we have come one step closer to our goal of implementing Facebook Station throughout the country. In all of our centers we organize training courses and workshops on various topics such as online export, digital marketing, online security and digital communication, ”says Alameddin.
