Fortunately, the “cursed date” Friday the 13th ran rampant in the Buggyra ZM Racing team in today’s 12th stage of the Dakar Rally. While both Buggyar Can-Am DV 21 crews completed the second part of the marathon stage without any problems, Jaroslav Valtr and Martin Šoltys were unlucky in the dunes of the tricky Empty Quarter desert. Debutant Aliyyah Koloc earned a place in the elite top 10 of the T3 category – Light prototypes for the second time in her first start at the Dakar. The 18-year-old pilot was tenth today and is thirty-second overall. Today, Josef Macháček finished in 23rd place, he is still in 11th place. The delay in the dunes sent Jaroslav Valtra to the 13th place in the stage, he is fifth overall. Despite today’s problems, Martin Šoltys is right behind him, he was fifteenth today. Robert Kasák was only one place behind Šoltys in the daily rating, he holds the 15th position overall. In his Dakar Classic category, Radovan Kazarka took fifth place, and is currently in third place.
