1,282 new infections and active cases drop to 21,294

The sixth wave of coronavirus continues to descend in Galicia, and the week continues to progress better than the previous one, with an accumulated drop from Monday to Saturday of 31.8%, in line with the previous week. Active cases continue to decline little by little, and the 14-day incidence today finally drops below 1,000, something that has not happened since December 28. The one of 14 remains in 954 and the one of 7 days in 387, values ​​that are still well above the respective 613.15 and 244.74 of the total for Spain.

The hospital situation It’s better than last saturday. Patients on the floor drop from 461 to 431 (-30), and those in the ICU remain at 25, making the total drop from 486 to 456 (-30). The 456 hospitalized today are 113 less than the 569 last Saturday.

On the Sergas data website today they say that 1,684 cases have been opened in the last 24 hours, but the difference between the total number of infected since the start of the pandemic today (495.446) and yesterday’s (494.164) is 1,101 people. In the same way, the new infections that we indicate by health area are calculated with the same procedure.

In the last 24 hours they have been registered in Galicia 1,282 new cases of SARS-CoV-2, 6 deaths and 2,377 discharges, which makes the cases of coronavirus drop by 1,101 people, going from 22,395 yesterday to 21,294 today.

The total number of hospitalized patients drops from 486 to 456, 30 less than yesterday. Last Friday there were 569 hospitalized, 113 more than today. The total number of cases of coronavirus recorded by Sergas since the start of the pandemic is 495.446.
