12,000 people aged 50-59 will be vaccinated this weekend in Murcia, Cartagena and Cieza | Radio Murcia

About twelve thousand people in the 50-59 age group will be vaccinated Friday, Saturday and Sunday with doses of Pfizer, Moderna or Janssen in Nueva Condomina, on Friday in Cartagena and on Saturday in Cieza.

The Minister of Health, Juan José Pedreño, has pointed out that this week the 60% of the vaccinated population is exceeded in the 60-69-year-old group, which is why the 50-59-year-old group will be vaccinated in parallel.

Pedreño has indicated that of the group between 50-59 years, since they still work, they will be given the option of getting vaccinated tomorrow or afternoon or even that they can change the date.

For this Thursday 17,690 people have been cited to be vaccinated. 75.7 percent of those over 60 are vaccinated with at least one dose of the vaccine. The doses administered as of today are 473,203 and with the second dose 130,306.

As for the pandemic, it remains stable. Yesterday 70 new infections were registered and a 67 man died from Vega Media. In addition, there are two more people admitted to intensive care, 28 in total and 44 are in the covid plant.
