Almost 26,000 people oppose this weekend one of the 1,671 places offered to enter the Civil Guard throughout Spain and 1,235 do so in Vigo, one of the cities that hosts the tests.
There are 7,620 female applicants, 29.3% of the total, which is the largest historical number of women who oppose the Civil Guard since its incorporation.
In Vigo, according to data from the Government Delegation, 887 are men (71.8%) and 348 women (28.2%). In addition, of the 1,235 applicants, 464 come from the province of Pontevedra, 419 from A Coruña, 177 from Lugo and 175 from Ourense.

In total, in Spain, there are 25,987 people who applied this weekend for the scale of cabos and guards of the Civil Guard offered this year.
Regarding the level of training, a total of 6,087 stand out university graduatesamong which there are 1,554 with a master’s degree and 18 with a doctorate.
By age range, half of the applicants are between 23 and 30 years old, leaving the average age of applicants at 28 years.
four tests
The opposition phase is divided into four tests: knowledge, tests physicalpersonal interview and medical examination.
For the knowledge exam, the Civil Guard has established 19 seatslocated in 13 autonomous communities distributed as follows: Alicante, Baeza, Cádiz, Calatayud, Gijón, Granada, Gran Canaria, León, Logroño, Madrid, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, Mérida, Murcia, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Seville, Toledo, Valencia and Vigo.
The test practiced this Saturday and Sunday consists of carrying out a series of tests on general theoretical knowledge, languages, spelling and psychotechnics. This year and as a novelty it will be the first time that a grammar test is carried out.
Opponents who obtain a sufficient score in this knowledge test will be summoned for the physical tests: a speed test (60-meter race), an endurance test (a 2 kilometers distance), a strength test consisting of performing a certain number of push-ups according to gender and a 50-meter swimming test.
Those who pass these last tests will be subjected to a personal interview to assess their psychological suitability for the job they are applying for and finally a medical examination to assess their state of health and physical fitness.
