14.40 This is the moment when Honorè hung up while the group was about to catch the fugitives over 120 km from the finish:

14.38 Cyril Barthe of B&B Hotels KTM tries to get out of the group to get back on the treads.

14.35 The group has now lifted their foot off the accelerator a bit. Shooting the fugitives 120 km from the finish would have been dangerous for the sprinter teams.

14.33 Four of the fugitives manage to “survive”. They are Honore, Simmons, Mohoric and Van der Hoorn. Politt let himself be swallowed by the group.

14.30 Honorè does not want to raise the white flag. The group was back under the fugitives when the Dane relaunched the pace followed by Simmons.

14.28 Just under 127 km to the finish, the advantage of the fugitives drops further, 14 ″.

14.25 The fugitives recover more and more on the fugitives, the delay has dropped to thirty seconds.

14.24 The first will be tackled at km 135.7, the second at km 152.6.

14.21 We remind you that the riders will face only two GPMs scheduled, both of the fourth category and in the second part of the stage: Cote de la Cité Medievale de Lauzerte (2 km at 6.2%) and Cote de Saint-Daunès (1.6 km at 6 , 3%).

14.18 Next still flat kilometers, then a series of ups and downs but not particularly difficult; we will have to wait for kilometer 135 for the first GPM of the day.

14.15 Try to make up for it under the group, the gap from the five fugitives falls below one minute.

14.12 I have covered 50 kilometers so far.

14.09 The delay of the group from the five fugitives oscillates between 1’10 “and 1’20”, situation under control for now but we proceed at high speed (47 km / h on average).

14.06 Here is the complete ranking of the intermediate sprint at Auch:

1 Quinn Simmons (USA) Trek-Segafredo 20 points
2 Nils Politt (GER) BORA-hansgrohe 17 points
3 Taco Van der Hoorn (NED) Intermarché-Wanty Gobert Materials 15 punti
4 Mikkel Frolich Honoré (DEN) Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team 13 points
5 Matej Mohoric (SLO) Bahrain-Victorious 11 punti
6 Jasper Philipsen (BEL) Alpecin-Deceuninck 10 pts
7 Wout Van Aert (BEL) Jumbo Visma 9 points
8 Christopher Juul-Jensen (DEN) Team BikeExchange 8 points
9 Guillaume Van Keirsbulck (BEL) Alpecin-Deceuninck 7 point
10 Chris Hamilton (AUS) Team DSM 6 punti
11 Philippe Gilbert (BEL) Lotto Soudal 5 points
12 Mathieu Burgaudeau (FRA) TotalEnergies 4 points
13 Nathan Van Hooydonck (BEL) Jumbo-Visma 3 punti
14 Michael Storer (AUS) Groupama-FDJ 2 points
15 Jonas Vingegaard (DEN) Jumbo-Visma 1 pt

14.03 The platoon has also crossed the flying finish line, in the lead Jasper Philipsen followed by Wout Van Aert, respectively sixth (10 points) and seventh (9 points).

14.00 The fugitives have just passed the intermediate sprint of Auch, this is the order of arrival:

1 Quinn Simmons (USA) Trek-Segafredo 20 points
2 Nils Politt (GER) BORA-hansgrohe 17 points
3 Taco Van der Hoorn (NED) Intermarché-Wanty Gobert Materials 15 punti
4 Mikkel Frolich Honoré (DEN) Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team 13 points
5 Matej Mohoric (SLO) Bahrain-Victorious 11 punti

13.57 We always continue at a fast pace, but the platoon pays a delay of 1’29 “from the head.

13.54 Here is the moment in which the platoon was forced to stop and, consequently, once informed, the same happened for the leading group:

13.51 The fugitives are now leaving, who in the meantime had gained an advantage of well over a minute over the group, which in turn will start once the detachment prior to the interruption caused by the demonstrators has been restored.

13.50 Stage suspended for the moment, we try to put everything back in safety:

13.49 Forced to stop the fugitives: the group was forced to stop following demonstrators who prevented them from continuing regularly.

13.47 The route allows it and continues at high speed, about 50 km / h; he pushes hard in every stage, a constant in this Tour de France.

13.44 And here are the fugitives, with their respective position in the general classification:

13.41 There are still 160 kilometers to go to the finish; in about 10 km the runners will face the intermediate sprint in Auch. Recall that the green jersey is already arithmetically by Wout Van Aert.

13.38 Alpecin-Deceuninck also leads the group.

13.35 The riders of Lotto Soudal and Team BikeExchange control and manage the pace at the head of the group.

13.32 Covered 20 kilometers so far, five riders in the lead with an advantage of more than one minute:

1 Nils Politt (GER) BORA-hansgrohe
2 Mikkel Frolich Honoré (DEN) Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team
3 Matej Mohoric (SLO) Bahrain-Victorious
4 Taco Van der Hoorn (NED) Intermarché-Wanty Gobert Materials
5 Quinn Simmons (USA) Trek-Segafredo

13.29 Given the trend of the last stages, we could have expected an immediately aggressive Van Aert, but for the moment it remains, waiting, in a group.

13.26 Here instead the five runners on the run, leading by 55 “:

13.23 Here are the images of the official start:

13.20 The group slows down, the five fugitives take advantage of it: 37 ″ ahead.

13.17 Five riders immediately try to create a gap with respect to the platoon:

1 Nils Politt (GER) BORA-hansgrohe
2 Mikkel Frolich Honoré (DEN) Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team
3 Matej Mohoric (SLO) Bahrain-Victorious
4 Taco Van der Hoorn (NED) Intermarché-Wanty Gobert Materials
5 Quinn Simmons (USA) Trek-Segafredo

13.14 For the moment quiet situation, compact group:

13.11 THE NINETEENTH STAGE OF THE TOUR DE FRANCE OFFICIALLY BEGINS!

13.09 The feeling is that we will see Wout Van Aert among the protagonists, given what the Belgian did in the previous stages, in great shape. He can both attack immediately and wait, and seek victory in the sprint.

13.06 Only two GPMs scheduled today, both in the fourth category and in the second part of the race: Cote de la Cité Medievale de Lauzerte (2 km at 6.2%) and Cote de Saint-Daunès (1.6 km at 6, 3%). In the meantime, the transfer course for the runners has begun.

13.03 Consequently, runners such as Wout Van Aert, Jasper Philipsen, and looking at Alberto Dainese and Luca Mozzato among the Azzurri cannot fail to be counted among the favorites.

13.00 As previously said, today we will experience a stage with a path that smiles at fast wheels: the escape could be successful, as well as we could witness a final sprint to be experienced, a bit of a rarity for this edition of the Tour:

12.57 The Movistar rider after yesterday’s stage had lost the tenth position, climbing to eleventh place in the general classification (+ 24’08 “from the yellow jersey Jonas Vingegaard). The top 10 goal now fades permanently.

12.54 Immediately to report a news regarding the Spaniard Enric Mas: he will not be at the start today for the 19th stage of the Tour, he tested positive at Covid:

12.51 Today 188.3 km will take the riders from Castelnau-Magnoac to Cahors.

12.48 Yesterday’s fraction, the last in the Pyrenees, saw Jonas Vingegaard triumph, who in fact armored his yellow jersey at the expense of Tadej Pogacar. Today instead we will live together a stage for sprinters.

12.45 Friends of OA Sport, cycling enthusiasts, good morning and welcome to the LIVE LIVE of the nineteenth stage of the Tour de France 2022!

CLASSIFICA TOUR DE FRANCE 2022

Friends of OA Sport, cycling fans, good morning and welcome to LIVE LIVE of the nineteenth stage of the Tour de France 2022! The Pyrenees are behind us, Paris is getting closer and closer. With almost all the verdicts now decided, the route includes a stage with a simpler elevation profile where we will probably witness a new adrenaline rush.

The course does not offer great difficulties, thus allowing the sprinter teams to theoretically keep the race under control. The forces in the group, however, are inevitably scarce and someone who will attack from a distance could try to surprise the fast wheels.

The main favorite, however, remains Jasper Philipsen, winner of the last sprint disputed and certainly shown in better condition than many other sprinters in the last day. His compatriot Wout Van Aert, on the other hand, has been strong in every stage and on every surface and will try to set a new seal on his exceptional Tour.

Among the sprinters with ambitions of success there will also be Alberto Dainese and Luca Mozzato, in an attempt to change that number 0 inside the box of Italian victories in this edition of the Tour. Even the hosts are still dry-mouthed, as well as Spain. For these last two nations, the possibilities will only come from men on the run.

OA Sport offers you the LIVE LIVE of the nineteenth stage of the Tour de France 2022. The departure is scheduled for 13.05 from Castelnau-Magnoac, we will offer you updates in real time until the finish in Cahors. Do not miss!
