TRIBUNJATENG.COM – Sarah Griffin, 12 years old, suffered a collapsed lung and spent four days in a coma due to e-cigarette addiction.
He was rushed to hospital with breathing problems a month ago.
He has been vaping since the age of nine and goes through 4,000 puffs in some days.

A cold combined with Griffin’s pre-existing asthma caused his condition to deteriorate rapidly.
X-rays of his lungs showed that one of his lungs had been damaged.
Her mother, Mary, said that when Sarah was placed in a coma to aid her recovery, she thought her daughter would die.
“It was a very traumatic experience,” said Mary.

Griffin’s bedroom in her home in Belfast, England is like most 12-year-old girls’ bedrooms.
There is a dressing table full of makeup, perfume bottles and hair straighteners with some childhood toys on the bed.
But this is where Griffin also hid the vape from his mother.
