A salary of 12 crore per hour is not a trivial matter. But Steve Schwarzman, the chief executive officer of Blackstone, has become a star by earning 12 crores per hour last year. According to estimates, 76-year-old Steve Schwarzman’s 2022 income is $1.27 billion. The CEO owns about 20 percent of Blackstone shares. Schwarzman received nearly US$1 billion in dividends alone. The Blackstone Group was founded in 1985 by Stephen Schumacher, former chairman of Lehman Brothers and US Secretary of Commerce Peter G. Peterson.

Schwarzman acquired such wealth not only from the position of CEO of the company. He has invested in many stocks and funds. In 2022, Blackstone President John Gray earned $47.92 million. Dividends from shares in Blackstone also made him rich. As of the third quarter of FY2022, the company has total assets under management of approximately US$ 951 billion.
