“12.7 Million Amphetamine Tablets Seized in Jeddah Islamic Port Drug Bust”

Al-Marsad Newspaper: The official spokesman for the General Directorate for Drug Control, Major Marwan Al-Hazmi, stated that the security follow-up of drug smuggling and promotion networks that target the security of the Kingdom and its youth resulted in thwarting an attempt to smuggle (12,729,000) tablets of the narcotic amphetamine hidden in a shipment of pomegranate fruit through Jeddah Islamic Port. In coordination with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the recipients of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority were arrested in Jeddah, who are (4) people: two residents of Egyptian nationality and two residents of both Syrian and Yemeni nationalities. The accused were arrested and preliminary legal measures were taken against them and referred to the Public Prosecution.
