The 11th New Perspectives in Television Award – Best Latin American University TV Production is progressing in its development.
At this moment, our jury, composed of prestigious filmmakers and researchers in the audiovisual field, is beginning the process of evaluating the submissions.
We would like to introduce the members of this year’s jury:
Lisandro Gambarotta is a journalist specialized in film criticism for over fifteen years. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication at the National University of La Plata (UNLP) with a degree in Social Communication. He has collaborated with various media outlets in the cities of La Plata and Buenos Aires. Currently, he is a producer and host of the program Club Lumière, which has been broadcasted on Radio Provincia FM for over ten years. He has won the Martín Fierro Federal Award three times in the cultural/educational category and the Martín Fierro Federal de Oro in 2016. He is a member of the Argentine Film Critics Association. In academia, he is an Associate Professor in the “Art, Avant-garde, and Mass Cultural Industry” chair at the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication at UNLP. He is also the Director of the “Program of Cinematic Content for Academic Training,” under the Academic Secretariat of the Faculty.
Paula Morel is a Designer of Image and Sound from the University of Buenos Aires. Since 2006, she has been working in audiovisual production and realization. Throughout her training, she has participated in scriptwriting workshops with Agustín Toscano, Celina Murga, Patricio Vega, Pablo Mesa, and Javier Daulte. In 2013, she wrote and directed the short film “El berrumde de Villa Urquiza,” which won the Un barrio de película contest. She has worked on various documentary projects for LumaDoc and served as a production assistant for the fiction series ”Diálogos Fundamentales,” “El pacto,” and the audiovisual series “Unidad 9.” Additionally, she was a programmer for the network of cinema theaters of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (Espacios INCAA). She worked as a producer for original content on the CINE.AR channel in programs such as “Acción Noticias,” ”En Foco,” ”Ibercine,” “Rescates,” and microprograms for PakaPaka and Canal Encuentro. Her productions have been showcased in national and international festivals and have received various awards.
José Dias Paschoal Neto holds a Ph.D. in Visual Arts from the University of Campinas, Brazil, and a Master’s degree in Information Sciences from PUC Campinas. He is a Communication professor at UNIFAE University in São João da Boa Vista, São Paulo, where he created TV UNIFAE. He is also the founder of TV PUC Campinas. He has served as the general coordinator of the Marketing program (at UNIP), coordinator of the Journalism, Advertising, and Propaganda programs, and the Communication Laboratory at UNIFAE. He is the President of the Scientific Council of the Journal of the Brazilian Association of University Television, an entity in which he participated in its creation. He is a journalist with experience as an editor and chief editor in newspapers and TV, specializing in the areas of health, environmental communication, science, and technology.

Lisandro Gambarotta is a highly experienced journalist specializing in film criticism for over fifteen years.
