Two cars, one of which is a taxi, collided on the N33 near Zuidbroek on Friday evening. No one was injured, but due to the chaos on the road, one lane in the direction of Veendam was closed. It is not known how the accident occurred.

A van overturned on the N366 near Nieuwe Pekela on Friday afternoon. It happened on the driveway of the provincial road. As far as is known, no injuries have been reported.

According to a witness, the vehicle was not loaded. It is not known how the van could overbalance. One lane is available for other traffic on the N366.

At the roundabout on Hoogveen Street, Stadskanaal, a collision occurred between two cars. Witnesses said two victims were taken to hospital. Don’t know how they are.

One vehicle went into a wadi in the accident, the other stopped at the roundabout.

A hemp nursery was found on the first floor of a terraced house in Veendam this afternoon. 155 hemp plants were found in one bedroom. The meter box was also tampered with, according to the police. The plants were destroyed and the resident was taken to the police station.

In the night between Thursday and Friday, an officer was seriously injured by a wrong-way driver on the A7 near the Hoogkerk exit. The 27-year-old suspect from Groningen could be arrested an hour later at the Hoendiep in Groningen. A few warning shots were fired.
