An officer was grabbed by the throat on Wednesday evening by a 52-year-old resident of Breda. Another officer was nearly punched in the face. The officers had gone to the Port in Breda after a report of a disturbance. The 52-year-old resident of Breda was involved in this. When the officers wanted to arrest him, the man freaked out. Several officers were deployed to get the man under control. He was taken to a detention center.
Later in the evening it happened again. Then a 21-year-old man from Bavel in the center of Breda headbutted a boa. When officers tried to arrest him, the man refused to get into the police car and he also headbutted an officer. He too has been detained.
