112 news: warehouses on fire just across the border • no Bergen op Zoom trains

A 48-year-old man from Tilburg was arrested the day before yesterday for the arson attack on a petrol station on the Oerlesestraat in Tilburg. The police reported today. The suspect could be arrested after tips from viewers of the Bureau Brabant investigative program. They recognized him from the camera images shown. The man is in custody, police said.

The arsonist struck around midnight on Monday 11 July. His action was captured on a surveillance camera. Images that were shown to Bureau Brabant in November. The now arrested suspect also entered the scene when an attempt was made to set fire to a doorbell near the Trouwlaan in Tilburg on the night of 29/30 December. The suspect was finally arrested on December 31 in the Stationsstraat in Tilburg.
